Increase average order value by giving customers a reason to buy better.
Acquiring more customers does not fix a basket that barely covers its costs. Vuelvy designs a more valuable next purchase: a useful complement, an upgrade or a spend-based benefit, connected to a pass in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The goal is a better order, not a discount sent to everyone.

- 01Relevant upselling
- 02Useful cross-selling
- 03Clear benefit conditions
- 04AOV and margin measured separately
First, understand what is inside your average order value
Calculate AOV by dividing revenue from valid orders by the number of orders in the same period. Agree how tax, shipping, returns and discounts are treated, then keep that definition consistent. Separate first-time and repeat purchases: a change in customer mix can move the average without anyone spending more.
- Revenue and orders using one definition
- New and returning customers separated
- Product, incentive and shipping costs
- Consistent periods and cohorts
Upselling and cross-selling solve different problems
Upselling offers a higher-value version when the difference matters to the customer. Cross-selling adds a relevant complement. A spend threshold unlocks a benefit at a defined basket value. We choose a mechanic around your catalogue, margin and purchase frequency; they do not all require discounts or suit every business.
- An upgrade with an explainable difference
- A complement to the previous purchase
- A threshold based on real costs
- Terms visible before purchase
From the previous order to a relevant next basket
Customers save their pass after purchase, from their account or through a consented invitation. Vuelvy displays the benefit and links to the right collection, product or bundle. The store validates eligibility and redemption; an agreed integration connects orders, segments and updates. Wallet does not add products to the cart automatically or replace checkout.
A higher basket does not automatically mean higher profit
We compare AOV, items per order, benefit usage and contribution margin after incentive costs. We also review conversion: an excessive threshold can discourage purchases. Where volume allows, a comparable cohort or control group helps distinguish the programme's effect from seasonality, prices and other campaigns.
- Confirmed order as the outcome
- Clicks and saved passes as intermediate steps
- Discounts, returns and costs included
- Observed attribution, not automatic causality
K-Kare: a real reference, not a promise for your store
K-Kare's reported average order value moved from €53.60 to €86.70–€92.10, depending on the month. These figures were supplied by the business owner; the case explains the period and comparison limitations. They do not alone demonstrate a margin increase or attribute every change to Wallet. They help us ask specific questions about your catalogue and customers.
How Vuelvy solves it
We analyse AOV, margin, purchase frequency, catalogue and enrolment channels. Then we design the mechanic, pass, validation and success metric, connect the necessary data and review observed orders. There is no identical magic formula for every business: our expertise is turning that diagnosis into an operable Wallet strategy. Tell us what you sell and how customers buy.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do you increase AOV?
Start with an additional purchase that creates value: an upgrade, a complement or a spend-based benefit. Vuelvy assesses fit and cost, communicates it through Wallet and defines how to verify the resulting order.
How is average order value calculated?
Divide revenue from valid orders by the number of orders in the same period. Apply a consistent treatment of tax, shipping, discounts and returns, and separate new from returning customers when comparing.
Does upselling require a discount?
No. A better product, useful complement or added service can create value without reducing the price. The incentive follows an assessment of margin and customer motivation.
Does Wallet replace checkout recommendations?
No. The pass keeps a benefit and a next action accessible between purchases. The catalogue, availability, cart and benefit authorization remain under the store's control.
What if customers do not already have a pass?
First explain the benefit and invite customers to save a pass after purchase, through a QR code or via an authorized channel. Wallet updates cannot reach someone who has not saved the pass.
Do you guarantee a percentage increase?
No. Results depend on catalogue, pricing, margin, audience and execution. We agree a target and comparison before launch, without presenting another business's figures as a guarantee.
